"The Clearview Regional High School District was named to the 2025 National Association for Music Merchants (NAMM) Best Communities for Music Education (BCME). This marks the seventh year that the Clearview Regional High School District has received this prestigious honor.
Now in its third decade, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Inclusion on the BCME list acknowledges the Clearview Regional School District as one of the top eight percent (8%) of school districts in the country for music education. School districts listed in the BCME list go through a vetting process organized by NAMM and leading experts in the music education field, looking at the curricular music offerings in the district, recent student and ensemble honors, number of students engaged in school music classes across all grade levels, extracurricular musical offerings, teacher qualifications, community engagement, district and administrative support, as well as other music events, and opportunities provided to students and teachers in and out of district.music classrooms.
The Clearview Regional School District scored highly in all categories of the application based on a strong tradition of excellence in both curricular and extracurricular ensembles, opportunities for all students to be involved in both middle school and high school elective music classes, student participation in local and state honors ensembles, opportunities in emerging music education programs such as the Modern Band, and strong support from the community as well as school and district administrations.
The Clearview Regional School District Music Department would like to thank Mr. John Horchak III and the district administrative team, as well as the administration and staff at both the high school and middle school for their continued support of music education in the school district.
Information about the award designation, as well as the full list of schools can be found at the following link:

For the past few months, 8th graders at the Middle School partnered with NHS 11th graders in a pilot program called Pioneer Partners. This pen pal program paired 8th graders with 11th graders and gave them the opportunity to write letters back and forth. These letters addressed the student's interest but also included questions the 8th graders had about coming to the High School next year. The 11th graders had great advice about classes, activities and tips on making the transition easier. On May 29th, the 40 students who participated in this program got to finally meet face to face and enjoy breakfast together in the High School.

Middle School Student Council had an opportunity to volunteer their time at the Funny Farm Animal Rescue. This year our students raised money by selling candy grams and collected donations for the Animal Rescue. The students had a chance to go tour the farm and to put in some hours helping out by raking hay, cleaning up, watering and brushing some of the animals at the Animal Rescue. Students enjoyed seeing the Animals but also loved helping out. Funny Farm Animal Rescue is in Mays Landing and is a nonprofit that is home to over 600 rescue animals. They take in and help animals that are impacted by abuse, neglect and abandonment and often times ultimately euthanized.
