Activity Description:

Participant will be involved in a variety of art activities utilizing various materials.

Activities:
Activities can include:  clay sculpting, wire structures, creative puppets, paper mache masks.  Some activities may require a supply cost.

Membership Requirements:

Must be a Clearview student with strong interest in the sciences. 

Activity Description:

Students coming together to participate in science activities that branch outside of Clearview's science curriculum. 

Activities:
Using telescopes to view the night sky, building our own robots from kits, building a small electric motor, bridge-building contest, squid dissection, making silly putty to explore polymers, Stomp Rockets, Make-Your-Own Christmas lights, lemon batteries, tie-dye t-shirts, optical illusions.

Membership Requirements:
Mentors are recommended by faculty and staff and require to fill out an application.  They will then be selected based on application and interview and required to attend a 2-day training.  Mentees must have a parent-permission slip signed and returned to the advisors prior to being paired with a mentor. 
Activity Description:
To provide incoming 9th grade students an upper-class Peer Mentor. 
Activities:
This program is meant to ease the transition from middle to high school.  Mentors will work with mentees on:  academics (i.e. building study skills and short and long term goal setting), navigating high school, developing positive peer relationships and community service. 
   

 

Student Council

Membership Requirements:
Students must attend monthly meetings and maintain a good behavior record (No discipline referrals, or White Cards).  Students will be required to participate in at least two Student Council events or activities during the school year.  Students should also maintain a C average for all of their subjects.  Mission Statement:  To bridge the different generations while offering support for the transition into Clearview Regional School District's family.
Activity Description:
Student Council is an organization which acts on behalf of all students and attempts to develop leadership qualities in all of its members. Student Council members are given the opportunity to represent the student body, to present their views on school matters, and to plan activities for the student body along with our community.
Activity Goals:
Host 7th and 8th grade dances, spirit weeks, Senior Citizen Prom and Remembrance Day. Activities also include sponsoring Student of the Month awards, poster contests, and Adopting needy families in the district during the Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter)
