Computer Applications 1
Prerequisite:  Keyboarding

This course will continue with advanced facets of Microsoft Office 97, and Microsoft Publisher 98.  Students will be able to produce professional letters, tables, memorandums, and research papers using Microsoft Word.  Students will be able to create professional newsletters, flyers, tables, banners, brochures, business cards, and other publishing documents using Microsoft Publisher 98.  Using PowerPoint and Excel, students will be able to produce advanced spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.  This course is recommended for any student planning to enter the business field after graduation, or who plans to attend any institution of higher learning.

 

Computer Applications 2
Prerequisite:  Computer Applications 1

This third-year course is designed to introduce the latest high-tech solutions to Information Technology.   Integration of applications, include the Internet, Corel PhotoHouse, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (including Access).  Scanners, digital cameras, and other emerging high-tech hardware and software applications will be incorporated.   Concepts to be covered witll be advanced Internet, including web page design, advanced searching and downloading, advanced file manipulation, data bases, and advanced desktop publishing, including graphic editing.  Web site design will integrate grapics, audio, video, and basic coding to produce a dynamic presentation.
