William Roy Overton Roy graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 1969. Since graduating from Clearview, Roy received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Eastern Nazarene College, his Masters in Pharmacology from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, studies in marketing management from Drexel University and his Ph.D. in Immunochemistry from Walden University. Roy then was a Research Specialist at the Fox Chase Cancer Center for 4 years. Next, Roy worked concurrently at the National Cancer Institute as Scientist 1/Head of Flow Cytometry and Ortho Diagnostic Systems, Inc. as a software development consultant. Roy was one of the scientists at the National Cancer Institute who discovered that AZT was an effective treatment for AIDS. His research convinced the F.D.A. to approve AZT as the first drug for treating victims. On to Coulter Corporation as the Senior Scientist and R & D Manager where he participated in the development of monoclonal antibody products. Roy took this knowledge and guided new product development at Gen Trak, Inc. Since then, Roy was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ where he lectured to medical students, residents, nurses, technicians and conducted research on cancer and AIDS. Presently, Roy has more than 20 publications and is the regional sales manager for Cytomation, Inc. of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Dr. Overton currently makes his residence in Mullica Hill, New Jersey.
