Wayne M. Kennard

Wayne graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 1968.  While at Clearview, Wayne was Low and High Hurdles State Champion, Clearview Hurdles record holder and was undefeated in these events in 1968.  In 1969, Wayne went to Admiral Farragut and was again Low and High Hurdles State Champion and an Admiral Farragut record holder.  In 1969 to 1973, Wayne was admitted into the United States Naval Academy and was an Indoor and Outdoor record holder.    He was also Heptagonal Champion Indoors in 1971 and an NCAA finalist in that same year.

While at Admiral Farragut, Wayne was nominated to the Cum Laude Society.  At the Naval Academy he majored in Computer Science and Operations Research.  After graduation he was asked to remain to continue research with two professors.  Wayne ended his time in the Navy as The Executive Officer, U.S.S. Impervious.  He received his Juris Doctor in 1981 from the National Law Center at George Washington University.

Presently, Wayne is a Senior Partner in the Intellectual Property Department at Hale and Dorr.  He focuses his practice primarily on representing high-tech start-up and established companies in a full range of intellectual property matters that include obtaining patent, trademark and copyright protection, licensing intellectual property, trade secret protection, licensing and litigation in the computer hardware and software, electrical and electronics technology areas.
