Introduction to Webquests
Using a Webquest Template

Steps to Creating a Webquest
Downloading a Webquest Template to your home directory
Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to log into computer with username and password
Double Click on "Internet Explorer"
Click on "Administration" and go down to "Technology"
Click on "Introduction to Webquests"
Right Click on "template" and left click on "Save target as"
Type in W: and hit enter
Type in a name for the Webquest you are creating and click "Save"
Click on the Minimize button at the top right corner of the screen
Editing a Webquest Template
Double Click on "My Computer"
Double Click on "W:" (your username on crhsntweb)
Right Click on the name of the Webquest you have downloaded and left click on edit
Highlight and Type All information for Title, Intro, Task, Process, etc.
Click File/Save
Click on the Minimize button at the top right corner of the screen
Making your Webquest Page look Fancy!
Background: find a background on www.grsites.com or a site of your choice
Right click on the desired background and left click on "save target as"
Type in W: and hit enter
Type in a name for your background and click "Save"
Go up to File and down to Page Properties
Click on the Background tab
Click on the checkbox for Background Image
Type in the name from Step 4 in the box and click on OK
If you need to change the color of your font, highlight all text and go up to Format/ Font
Adding a link to your home page for the Webquest
Double Click on "My Computer"
Double Click on "W:" (your username on crhsntweb)
Right Click on "default.htm" and left click on edit
Type in the name of your webquest somewhere on your home page
Highlight the name and go up to "Insert" and down to "Hyperlink"
Type the file name of the webquest you saved in step 7 (must be *.htm)
Click File/Save
Go back to Internet Explorer and Test home page and webquest page
Congratulations! You've just completed your first Webquest!
