Clearview Regional Middle School Annual District Objectives

June, 2007, as a result of collaboration with a District Mathematics
Instructional Supervisor, continued intensive training of staff in varied
instructional strategies, training in GEPA math skill areas, and subsequent
instruction of students in high levels of mathematical thought: including
inquiry, problem solving, communication, making connections, and reasoning, the
total 8th grade population will exceed the 2006-2007 adequate yearly
progress proficiency percentages set by the State of New Jersey for the
mathematics section of the GEPA and all subgroups will reach safe harbor.
An additional goal of the objective is to increase the advanced
proficiency percentage by ten percent. This
is the second year of a three-year objective.
By
June, 2007, as a result of a revised 7th and 8th grade
language arts/reading curriculum to an integrated collaborative model,
collaboration with a District Reading Coach/Coordinator, collaboration with
Harrison and Mantua literacy staff, continued intensive training of staff in
instructional strategies, work with the Rowan Literacy Collaborative group,
training in GEPA LAL skill areas, and subsequent instruction of students in high
levels of language arts literacy: including inferential and analytical reading,
making connections beyond the varied text types, and persuasive and speculative
writing, the total 8th grade population will exceed the 2006-2007
adequate yearly progress proficiency percentage set by the State of New Jersey
for the LAL section of the GEPA and all subgroups will reach safe harbor.
An additional goal of the objective is to increase the advanced
proficiency percentage by ten percent. This
