Call
to Order:
The worksession/regular meeting of the Clearview
Regional Board of Education was held on the above date in the High School Media
Center. Mr. Michael Riggs, President,
called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Statement
of Public Meeting in Accordance with the New Jersey Public Meetings Act:
It was announced that in accordance with
the Open Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975), advance notice of this
meeting has been provided by publishing written notice in the media, posting
notice at the District Administration Building and Township of Harrison
Municipal Building.

Trifiletti moved, seconded by Mr. Wolk, that the Board of Education approve the

Mrs. Pennell read the following
correspondence:

thank you letter to Jennifer Satterfield, HS Teacher, from the Friends of the
World Food Program.

memo to the Board of Education from Pete Burgio
expressing gratitude for the microscope grant.
Public
Session:
The following individuals addressed the
Board of Education:

Jack
Hill, President of the CEA, presented a letter to Mr. Riggs requesting an open
forum with the Board to discuss school issues and to work towards a positive
outcome.
·
Mr.
Bill Nicholson, Teacher and Mantua Township resident, asked the Board if it is
a new or common practice to advertise coaching positions every year.
·
Mr.
Jim Woolbert, Teacher and Basketball Coach, asked the
Board if there is a timeframe for notifying coaches when they are coming back
and stated that in the past, coaches knew in June if they were coaching in the
fall. Mr. Riggs responded that fall and
winter coaches will be identified by June.
·
Mr.
Bill Nicholson commended Mrs. Cummins for the initiation of an early hiring
process.
