Call
to Order:
The special meeting of the Clearview Regional Board of
Education was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by the President, Mr. Raymond
Miller, in the Administration Building Public Meeting Room.
Statement
of Public Meeting in Accordance with the New Jersey Public Meetings Act:
It was announced that in accordance with the Open
Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975), advance notice of this meeting
has been provided by publishing written notice in the media and posting notice
at the District Administration Building.
Members
Present:
Mrs. Atkins, Mr. Betlejewski, Mr. Riggs, Mr. Smith,
Mr. Trifiletti, Mr. Wolk, Mr. Miller, President, Mrs. Carroll, Superintendent
and Mr. Horchak III, Assistant Superintendent for Business & Operations.

Mr. Anderson and Dr. DeTolla.

Salute:
The Flag Salute was said by all present.
New
Jersey School Boards Workshop/Training:
Gwen Thornton, NJSBA Field Service Representative,
was in attendance to conduct a workshop/training with the members of the Board
of Education on Ethics. The workshop
began at 6:30p.m. and ended at 8:50 p.m.
Other Business
Awarding
Bus Bid:
Mr. Betlejewski moved, seconded by Mr. Riggs, that the Board of Education
approve awarding the bid for 4, 54 Passenger buses to Amtran Bus Sales (Truck King
International), lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $264,260.00.
Rationale:
American Bus & Coach (Blue Bird) submitted bid
that was non-compliant. (Reference bid specifications: Page 4 - Engine 220 HP required - Page 5 - Electronically activated exhaust
brake.)
The motion was unanimously approved.
Fall
Coaches - 2006/2007:
Mr. Wolk moved, seconded by Mr. Smith, that the Board of Education
approve the following individuals as coaches for the 2006/2007 fall sports
