January 19, 2006
Call to Order:
The Worksession Meeting of
the Clearview Regional Board of Education was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by
the President, Mrs. Diane Reuter, in the Administration Building Public Meeting
Room.
Statement
of Public Meeting in Accordance with the New Jersey Public Meetings Act:
It was announced that in accordance with the Open
Public Meetings Act (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975), advance notice of this meeting
has been provided by publishing written notice in the media and posting notice
at the District Administration Building.
Members Present:
Mr. Betlejewski, Mr. Miller,
Mr. Riggs, Mrs. Shappell, Mr. Smith, Mr. Wolk, Mr. Anderson, Dr. DeTolla, Mrs.
Reuter, President, Mrs. Carroll, Superintendent and Mr. Horchak, Business
Administrator.
Members Absent:
None.
Flag Salute:
The Flag Salute was said by
all present.
Public Session:
Mr. Phil Rhudy and Mr.
Dennis Clowney, from the Harrison Township Committee, made an inquiry to the
Board regarding the lighting of the baseball field.

The Board reviewed the
agenda items and agreed to place them on the agenda for Board action on January
26th.
Buildings & Grounds
Discussion:
The Board discussed a plan
for a fenced area for the Child Development Lab.

The Board reviewed the
agenda items and agreed to place them on the agenda for Board action on January
26th.
Informational:
a.
As
in the past, the Board will be funding 2 chaperones for the senior trip
scheduled for April 22 through 25, 2006.

Fall Season Report from Athletic Trainers
Discussion:
The Board discussed a
Lacrosse night game.
Instruction
The Board reviewed the agenda
items and agreed to place them on the agenda for Board action on January 26th.

The Board reviewed the
agenda items and agreed to place them on the agenda for Board action on January
26th.
Informational:

Marilyn
Bennette has been nominated for the retired coaches award for the NJSCA Hall of
Fame
b.
New
Development - Harrison Township - 29 Units - Saddle Ridge
Executive Session:
Mr. Wolk moved, seconded by
Mrs. Shappell, that the Board of Education adjourn into executive session.
The motion was unanimously
approved.
Mrs. Reuter read the following resolution:
It is hereby resolved that the Board of Education
will now go into executive session to discuss personnel/ negotiations. Any discussion held by the Board, which need
not remain confidential, will be made public as soon as practicable. Minutes of the executive session will not be
disclosed until the need for confidentiality no longer exists. The Board will reconvene into public session
at the conclusion of the closed session.
The meeting adjourned into executive session at 8:45
p.m.

The Board of Education was informed that pictures
will be taken on January 26th at 7:25 p.m. for the yearbook.
